Korea's second city runs along the sea: a beach with its own subway station, a painted hillside village, a fish market where you pick dinner downstairs and eat it upstairs.

See & do

Huinnyeoul Culture Village ✓

Cliffside fishing village of whitewashed alleys over the water — Busan's quieter, authentic answer to Gamcheon.

Gamcheon Culture VillageSaha · 감천문화마을Gamcheon Culture Village ✓

Pastel houses terraced up a hillside with murals and the Little Prince lookout — Busan's signature postcard view (free).

BUSAN X the SKY ✓

Observatory on floors 98–100 over Haeundae Beach, with Korea's highest Starbucks inside.

Haedong Yonggungsa TempleGijang · 해동용궁사Haedong Yonggungsa Temple ✓

A rare Korean temple built on the sea cliffs rather than in the mountains — waves break directly below the halls.

Haeundae Beach ✓

Korea's most famous beach, with a subway station a short walk from the sand — the easiest big-city beach day in the country.

Gwangalli Beach & Gwangan Bridge ✓

The beach that faces the lit-up Gwangan Bridge — Busan's night view, lined with cafes and bars facing the water.

TaejongdaeYeongdo · 태종대Taejongdae ✓

Cliff-top coastal park at the tip of Yeongdo island — open sea, a lighthouse and a hilly 4 km loop road. The Danubi loop train has been suspended since July 2026 after two accidents; a free shuttle bus runs instead.

Sajik Baseball Stadium

This is where the defining image of Korean baseball support came from — a stand full of people singing with orange plastic bags on their heads. If you are in Busan during the season, this is worth choosing over a Seoul game.

Spa Land Centum City

A hot-spring spa inside the Shinsegae Centum City department store, drawing on water pumped from underground. Outdoor foot baths and a spread of themed sauna rooms. Being attached to a mall makes it easy to drop into mid-shopping, and it fills a rainy day in Busan without much planning.

Beomeosa Temple금정구 · 범어사Beomeosa Temple

A large mountain temple on the slopes of Geumjeongsan. The subway gets you to Beomeosa Station and a village bus does the rest, so it is a half-day from the city. Good for adding mountains and quiet to a Busan trip that is otherwise all beaches.
