Why this exists
Korea runs on apps that quietly assume you're Korean: a Korean phone number to book a restaurant, a Korean card to order food, Korean-only interfaces for trains and waitlists. Visitors end up juggling ten apps that half-work — or just missing out.
trip2kr is built in Seoul to close that gap. One app that plans your route beyond Seoul, keeps your entry documents straight (visa, K-ETA, e-Arrival Card), and tells you whether a price is fair
What we believe
- Honesty over hype. Sample data is labeled "Sample". Features that aren't ready say so. Prices and availability are estimates — always confirm on the official or partner site before you rely on them.
- The free tier stays useful. Maps, safety info, entry-docs checker, fair-price references — free, no strings.
- The app is free. Everything here — planning, the entry-document wallet, maps, fair-price references — costs nothing and needs no account. Paid plans are not on sale.
How we make money
One way, fully disclosed: affiliate commissions when you book hotels or tickets through our partner links (Trip.com, Klook) — at the same price you’d pay going direct. We don’t sell your data, and a commission never changes what we recommend.
Who's behind this
trip2kr is built and run by an independent developer based in Seoul, South Korea — one person who writes the code, checks the fares at the actual ticket machines, and answers the email. The app is free to use today. If paid plans go live later, trip2kr is the seller and payments are handled by PayPal; the charge on your statement will show PayPal.
