Delete your account and data

You can delete your trip2kr account yourself, at any time, without contacting us. This page explains exactly what gets erased, what we keep, and why.

Option 1 — in the app (fastest)

Open trip2kr and tap My (top right).
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2 — by email

If you can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address you registered with, asking us to delete your account. We complete the deletion within 30 days and reply to confirm. We may ask you to confirm from that address — that is the only way we can be sure the request is really yours.

What is deleted

Your account — email address and sign-in credentials.
Your travel-document wallet backup — the copies of passport, visa, K-ETA and e-Arrival images that were backed up to your account are erased. (The copies stored on your own phone are removed when you uninstall the app, or immediately if you delete them in the wallet first.)
Your traveller profile — trip style, interests and preferences.
Your trips and itineraries — saved plans, day-by-day schedules and stays.
Email subscriptions — deleting your account also unsubscribes you, so the pre-trip briefing emails stop.

What we keep, and why

Purchase records, if you ever bought something. Tax and accounting law requires a seller to keep transaction records, and we need them to handle refund and chargeback requests. These records hold the order reference and amount — not your itineraries and not your documents.
Anonymised usage counts. Aggregate numbers (for example "how many people opened the arrival guide") remain, but they are no longer connected to you or your account.
Content you posted publicly, such as a place review or a community comment, if others have replied to it. Tell us in your deletion email and we will remove it too.

Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account. Uninstalling removes what is stored on your phone, but your account stays on our servers until you delete it here or in the app.

How long it takes

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Email requests are completed within 30 days. Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so a copy may persist in encrypted backup storage for up to 90 days after deletion before it is fully gone.
